Junior Lego Robotics

In the Junior Lego Robotics camp, we use LEGO Education WeDo 2.0, which makes elementary science come to life through hands-on tasks, real-world projects, and relevant technology that engages students. Through project-based activities, students’ skills are enhanced across science, engineering, technology, and coding.

The unique combination of the LEGO brick, classroom-friendly software, and inspiring, standards-based science projects results in a resource that builds students’ confidence. Empower them to ask the right questions, define problems, and design their solutions by putting scientific discovery in their hands.

The curriculum is designed for students and covers many foundational computer science and engineering skills that are not often taught in early childhood. These academic frameworks are taught through a series of powerful ideas: the Engineering Design Process, Robotics, Programming, and Sensors. Each Idea addresses foundational math, literacy, science, and art skills.

If desiring a half-day camp (9-12:00) Use can just register for the Junior Lego Robotics camp only.

Camp Key Elements

  • STEM-based curriculum on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics

  • The camp curriculum is designed for beginner to advanced-level

  • Hands-on experimental and exploratory study

  • kids will learn strategies for “Critical Thinking, Lateral Thinking, Problem-solving, Designing Projects and Communicating Ideas”

  • They will discover basic physical science concepts such as gears, pulleys, levers, wheels and axles

  • Students will be assigned projects according to their grades and skills.

  • At the beginning of the week, teachers will evaluate students' prior experiences (if they have one) as per that teachers will plan the week's curriculum and assign levels accordingly.

  • At the end of week teams will have Robot battles competitions.

Friday Showcase

At the end of each week, attendees can invite their family and friends to join us for a showcase celebration to share their final projects. Learn more about the fun and exciting activities your child experienced during the week and have an opportunity to meet your child’s instructor. Presentations vary by course topic and instructors will highlight some of the important concepts covered during the week and possible next steps to continue your child’s learning. Showcase begins at 11:00 AM and is typically finished by 11:45 AM. Then after lunch, we will start Fun Friday - Walking Movie, Snacks, Games, Lots of fun
